Or you might consider finding a home where someone is renting out a bed room with kitchen privileges & a driveway to park your car (its not a permanent situation, just tempariary until you are about to go back to work ). You could give up your home phone for a cell phone w/free long distance...This may sound tragic...but for a short time you are in a tragic situation that calls for a change of direction right now. My husband and i each have a daughter from past relationships. mine is 7 and his is 4 almost 5. We have rules at our house so when she comes on the weekend she tries to do what she does at her moms but when she gets punished (time out or no tv) she cries for her mom. My husband works at a machine shop that has a union. He has been heavily involved in the union for many years (14+). Six months ago he was asked to take a 6-month leave from his job in the shop and do the work of a union business representative. The deal was made between the Business Director, istant Business Director, and my husband. My husband's district then merged with another district. That Business Director, and the 2 gentlement from my husband's district met. When the merge was completed, the istant's position would be written into the agreement, and my husband was supposed to then be brought on staff afterward. There were many delays, and after each delay my husband would inquire about what was happening. He only had 6 months of leave and then had to return to his shop. He was told after each delay to be patient, that it would happen, and that the job was his. We were not to worry. Well, there was an open application/interview done. This was supposed to be just a formality, to be politically correct. My husband was supposed to have the job locked in. He had been doing the job for 6 months and was told he was doing it well. He was told 2 weeks before he was supposed to be brought on staff that the job was given to someone else. My husband has 14+ years experience in the union, has negotiated 3 contracts, has a lot of local and district level experience. The guy who got the job has only been president of his local lodge, has no contract negotiation experience, and has no experience doing the work of a business rep. When my husband questioned the decision, he was told that the job was given to the other guy basically because he spoke well or better in the interview. We spent money we didn't have for my husband to do this job for 6 months. We put wear and tear on our already not-so-great vehicle for him to do this job for 6 months. Now he is going back to his factory, and we have nothing but a dying vehicle. Do we have any legal recourse? Nothing was in writing, but there were 2 credible witnesses to the deal, and he was told over and over that the job was his.

Strange spot on one of my walls. Is it mold, and what can I do about it if it is?

The spot looks like dust. Thats exactly what I thought it was so I just swept it off with my broom. I did that like a month ago and now, it's back. The reason I suspect its mold is because my wall is moist. I know that where there's moisture, mold likes to grow. I saw something on the news once about mold and how it can kill you (I think it was black mold) and now I am terrified of mold. Anyway, it stops right where the trim between the floor and the wall. Also, there's this spot on my floor (hardwood) that feels really cold and is darker that the rest of the wood around it. Its in the same area as the spot on the wall just on the floor. Why does Vista allow sending oversize packets on a 100Mbps LAN when using a gigabit adapter?

A fellow developer is using winpcap dll's to grab packets on Vista with his app. Somehow, when using IE7, the GET request to access www.yahoo.com, results in a single oversize packet (over 1500 MTU). Also, every once in a while, the oversize packet has an IP datagram length of zero. The payload has a large cookie, but is otherwise normal looking. This is with a clean Vista install, no firewall on, no antivirus. I can understand things like packet checksums being bad if there was TCP checksum offloading. Even uming the gigabit adapter has large send offload and is using it (so it fragments the packet after winpcap grabbed it), that doesn't explain the zero IP datagram length. Is this something specific to IE 7 or to the new Vista TCP/IP stack? I vaguely remember someone saying that in the case of Vista and a gigabit network adapter hooked to a 100Mbps LAN, it will sometimes spit out oversize packets, and nobody complains because the majority of switching hubs have gotten good enough to fragment on their own or in the rare case actually refuse the packet forcing Vista to do it right, so this is a silent error situation. The packets are usually in the 1600's in size.

I have a problem I want to solve because it hurts me to see it this way. It is my mum. For years, she has been a feisty person. She may be very easily angered and prone to physical punishment, but she had incomparable love for me (btw I'm 15). She always used to buy me things I wanted, and made sure that I worked for it. In my eyes, the best mum ever. Recently, my family amed a bit more wealth, enough to relocate into the more upscale areas of town. My mum's behaviour, has correspondingly (I think), changed. Previously, any problem I had could be solved by her and she made sure that I had a good life. Now, she hardly listens to me at all. I'm serious. She may pretend to listen, but even in a casual gathering, she would suddenly cut me off and talk to somebody else. Now, a few days back, I told her when I burned my hand on an open flame, and je replied nonchalantly "Good". She doesn't do this to anyone else. She gives the most attention to people working under her (her position is seniormost but in a very small company, the company is stable as it has been running for 10 years). I feel as though she may switch me or my sister for her colleagues. I'm not just saying this. The moment she leaves them, she turns all grumpy and snaps at us. She igned me to make a short movie, and though I'm not trained in any sort for this job, she scolded me the whole time for poor job. When she decided to get a professional to do the job, she was patient with her the whole time. I asked her once why her behavior changed between us and she hit me while saying that she needed to motivate them to work or they would quit. Does that mean that she cares more about her workers than me? Another thing she always does is that she criticizes me on my appearance. She always complains about my dad to me but when it comes to mr telling her about my feelings, she rudely cuts me off and changes the subject. How can I change this? Downloading Videos to My Cell Phone?

I am trying to download a video to my samsung u740 but its not working. I have a couple of different programs that will convert the .avi files to 3gp files. But when I go to put it onto my phone I keep getting errors that the file is in the wrong format or the phone does not support that format. I have a 1g SD memory purchased from verizon. I also cannot download the videos from windows media player because wmp will not recognize the 3gp file. I have the avs video converter, but when it comes time to upload the video, avs says it cannot find a device to up load the file to. Experienced gardeners please help Katsura tree pruning / care advice?

NW, USDA Zone 8, Full sun. 2 katsura trees are planted in planting strip in front of my house and have been getting vandalized. I've been waiting for them to grow taller before limbing them up, but now I think I might need to start now due to the vandalism. The vandal is indescriminately breaking branches whether they are in the way or not, so pruning probably won't stop them. I will do some repair pruning, but I wonder if I should hold off limbing it up. They have been in the ground for 4 years now and have a single trunk. I'm also wondering about water. They have been growing moderately, and I still give them supplemental watering in the summer due to the fact that they lose their leaves prematurely in the late summer. I know they should be on their own as far as watering is concerned, but I've been babying them anyway. The soil has been amended well with compost and mulch but it still gets very dry, and a lot of drought tolerant plants surrounding. What to do about vandals?

Do solids amount to weaning?

I have 5 children and youngest is 7mths she has been on solids for 1mth and loves it. She is having 2 solids meals a day plus feeding too @ present i feed her then offer her the solids ( she has breakfast - baby cereal or/with fruit and either lunch or tea - veges). It is just a natural progression i just feed her the amount she seems to like - she will either gag each time i put some in or push it out of her mouth when she has had enough. I think by about 9-10mth you offer the food first then the . I just increase the amount of food gradually as her appetite increases. You get to know if she is till hungry as she isn't settled or content. As long as she is still drinking () you milk supply will still be there for what she demands. I have fed my others for over 12mths ( and as long as 2years) and they are all healthy etc :-)

Why is it that people judge other people by the music they listen to? Why is it the music people listen to effects the way they are? I love music, I only listen to rock,metal, and stuff like that. Wow alot here. I am gonna say right now the Chiefs are better(right now). Have done very well lately and did a great job to get Matt Cell to lead the team. Jamaal Charles is in the discussion for most explosive back in the NFL. Thomas Jones is a great complement as well. And they got Eric Berry in last years draft to shore up the defense. Possibly the best player in the draft along with Suh. Jaguars have been fading a little bit in the past few years. They have one of the best backs in the NFL in Jones Drew but alot of there defensive stars have been let go or traded. They used to have one of the NFL's best defensive lines with John Henderson and Marcus Stroud. All they have left to really build on on defense is Daryl Smith. This isn't exactly supported in your stats as they both have about the same record since then which is impressive since the Jags have only been around since '95. Border Collie who sniffs?

I have a Border Collie who will be 2 in July and we've had him since he was 3 months old. He's the sweetest dog. He is very smart and attentive too. But he is always sniffing, he will sniff the whole house. I understand sniffing people, stop signs, bushes and other stuff out of his territory but why does he sniff stuff that he smells all the time? He'll even lay by the outside of my door in the morning and wake me up by sniffing under it. Obsession with plucking pubic hair?

For the last year or two, I've had an obsession with plucking my pubic hairs (sometimes other areas of the body, too) out with tweezers. I know it seems strange and I've been too embarred to talk to anyone about it so far, but have been doing some "googling" to see what might cause it and am curious to know more. It's becoming an obsession, to the point where it's the first thing I'll do when I come home and I'll often spend an hour or two a day doing this. It seems relaxing and feels good to pull out the hairs that are somewhat still under the skin, or places where two hairs are sharing a pore. It seems like it makes it "right." If there's a noticeable follicle on the end of the hair, I get excited and it feels like a "success" to get this out of my skin. Sometimes, especially after I've shaved recently, the hairs are deep in the skin and I'll pick and dig until I can get them out, then I feel a sigh of relief. I have many scars on my genital region because of this--I'll dig and dig until it's bloody, but I won't give up until I can get the hair out from under the skin. Then I feel at ease and can quit. My "tweezing fingers" (middle and thumb) are always sore and callused from plucking so much. I always have scabby, bloody, scarred areas in my genital region all the time and am starting to think I should see a doctor about this. The third however has you tube direct upload so if that's something that's a deal breaker for you, you might want that one. The fourth option has better mega pixels and zoom. Second doesn't have a rechargeable battery so I wouldn't waste the money, hope that helps.

I don't think I'm ready to meet my boyfriend's parents. But it seems so unfair on him.?

I'm sixteen and I have a boyfriend - Geoff who's twenty. We've been together for just over two months now, and he's been over to my place numerous times and has met my parents. However, his own parents have been away since before we got together and I haven't had a chance to meet them, but now they're back and everything is just piling up on me. We kind of share different view points as he's older than me; he's willing to meet my parents and he thinks that two months has been a long time, whereas I don't feel adequate meeting his parents and for me, the two months have flown by and they haven't made a solid, comfortable relationship. Another reason things are starting to get stressful for me is that I have a heap of homework to be finished this weekend - when he wanted me to meet his parents. So today I called him, and told him that I didn't feel ready because of all that. He said he was confused, but understood, and just a little bit hurt. So now I'm feeling guilty and horrible because my relationship maturity isn't where his is, and I'm severely doubting my actions. But the thing is I really don't think the time is right, but is it?

Todays treatments have less severe side effects and a great chance of helping. Don't use alcohol or hard drugs and keep your liver from getting any more damage than it already has. A liver transplant is not a cure, the disease will show up again in a few years or so, but if your liver has a lot of damage, it could be worth it. Treatment is not a cure. There is no cure. What treatment does is lower the viral load to 0. If you stay at 0 for a year, they call it cured, but the disease can return from serious illness, or extreme stress. (I have met people in our educational cles that this has happened to)

I think since you've dyed your hair so many times now, you can't be sure what colour it's going to turn out - it's a bad idea to bleach to yellow and then put more colour over it by yourself when you've already dyed it so many times because it really could turn out any colour. Lab/retreiver that kills chickens?

Loud noises from roof at night?

I live on the top floor of a three-story building built in the 1970s. I have been hearing loud t noises on the roof on and off basically all summer long. They tend to come in twos and threes, a sort of "THUMP THUMP" or "THUMP THUMP THUMP" sound. I have at times thought it might be footsteps or someone jumping up and down on the roof, but I only ever hear three or so thumps before the noise stops, and never really anything before or after. (Once in a while, a sort of scraping sound follows the thumps.) I know it's not from trees, because they're all trimmed so that they don't hang over the roof. I do live in a woodsy sort of area in upstate NY, so it could be local wildlife, but I have no idea what. Can anyone explain to me what this is?

well, i've been good friends with this girl in my year for some time now, since y7 and am currently in y11. i did ask her out about 3 years ago now but at a really crap time. The producers and writers need to build up for the climax so people will bother to see the last part itself. Viewers aren't gonna let the series end with the bad guys winning, so they'll just have to watch the end! Of course it can be annoying and predictable at times though. Everyone knows the good guys will win, they just have to make sure by seeing the end.

Kinda weird question?

this morning 6:30ish i woke up from my alarm clock and i had to pee but it wasnt like i was squwirming or anything but i felt like i had to pee so i wlked across the house to the bathroom but all bellow lk an inch under my belly on hurts when i sit down or stand up, even more when i pee even when im sitting on the toilet bowl but not peeing yesterday it hurt a little i thought it was cramps bc i should be getting my period soon so is it just reel bad cramps but i have never had very bad cramps so idk could i hve damaged my bladder bc i had to pee i just dont know but i just peed right before i went to bed that night and i have held pee for over 12hrs but it was only lk 9hrs since i last peed so idk annyone have any ideas?

Is one nap okay for my 4 month old?

my son is 4 1/2 months old and in the last week he's stopped wanting to take his normal 2-3 naps a day. He also has been waking up persistently at night instead of getting up once or not at all at night. His entire 3rd month he would take 3 naps, about an hour each or more every day, go to bed at 8 and wake up for comforting like clockwork at 4 a.m. for some comforting and then go back to sleep until 8. now he screams his head off every time I put him in his crib or give him his pacifier (sleep-time cue). Today I gave in and threw the sleep schedule out the window and just let him stay awake until he started falling asleep without being in his crib, which he slept for about 10 minutes in the morning and then from 3-6pm. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar issues with a baby this small? i think he might be teething or going through a growth spurt because he"s eating more lately, but i just can't be sure. i'm worried about overstimulating him if he's tired, but also understimulating him if he's not. help?
