Does a large amount of media help or confuse?

In my opinion it is a double edged sword, if the numbers bring in different perspectives that is one thing, a good thing, however when several use the same bias they too often influence the out come of an event rather than reporting the facts and allowing people to determine their own opinions! A fair and balanced media, or just a fact reporting non opinionated media woiuld be ideal, however in its current state it is merely a toll for the controllers, thus a bad thing, in my opinion
