Should the NFL preseason be done away with?

I know I know what everyone will say... "But the NFL makes millions of dollars from the preseason! They'll never do away with it." And they are right. The NFL makes a lot of money from the preseason. But let's not look at it from the NFL's view. Let's look at it from the standpoint of a fan. Nothing good can come from the NFL preseason. The only thing that can possibly happen is injuries. And sometimes these injuries in meaningless games sideline our favorite players for the whole season. Another thing to remember is that NFL preseason games aren't even entertaining. Because they aren't meant to be entertaining! The only reason why they exist is so NFL coaches can get a look at the players and make cuts accordingly. But most coaches would secretly say that a preseason game isn't even needed to determine who to keep and who to cut. It can all be done in practice and scrimmages. And I mean all of it. So from the standpoint of a fan, why even keep the NFL preseason around?
