Was Odin Jewish?

I recently read in a book about a theory that the man later known as Odin did exist historically and was a sephardic Jew who migrated to Shaftesbury in England where he worked as a tin-smith. After a while he moved to Narvik in Norway and began his ministry. I only have one source on this; anyone heard this from another source? Or know anything about it? Souce: Explaining Odin (Viking,1998) by Ron Rosenbaum. The chapter on his Jewish origins originally appeared in The New Yorker; I''m surprised I didn't hear of it then.
