Is Pedro Martinez going 7 innings with 9 SO's last night just another kick in the gut to Met fans?

I know that Pedro faced a weak San Fran. lineup, but the fact was he was locating and was getting SO's and lasted 7 innings. I can't remember the last time he got past the 6th in a Met uniform. He is now 3-0 and if he helps the Phillies get to the world series again then the Mets were just blindsided by a truck after they have already been run over by cars the last 3 years. I understand that Pedro wouldn't have helped the Mets problems this year, but the last 2 years having this Pedro would have helped.
