I wonder how most of you work out the mathematics of household expenses. Do most of you find that even?
combined incomes of married couples are not enough to get a mortgage. How do you equate your own earnings compared to what you have to pay out for other goods and services. For example, an average office/shop worker may be earning 6 pounds an hour, but when one has to pay for the services for others, i.e call people in for repairs, they expect to be paid 60 pounds for a very quick visit. Any visit to a professional for any advice seems to cost more than 100 pounds an hour. Many times I found my entire weeks wages went to pay for a very quick consultation with a professional person. I wonder if any one else feels the same way.
