Faking a stress fracture?

A close friend of mine came to school with a pink fibergl SLC (short leg cast for those who dont know) and claimed she fractured it. Later after school she came over and she told me she faked it to the doctor. Both of us know TONS about medical stuff and fractures from our cles we've taken, and she said since most stress fractures dont show up on x-rays it was easy to fake. She just put a blow dryer on it to make it red and swell a little bit and then claimed it hurt insanely in her fore-foot on the 2nd and 3rd metatarsel (bones of foot from base of toes to heel) when she walked and so she had to limp. Then she backed it up by saying she had recently increased her running for cross country from 4 miles every other day to 7 miles every day therefore puting her at higher risk for the injury. Do you think its really possible to fake a doctor out with this kind of injury? I wouldnt mind having a cast of my own...lol if I could really pull it off. Any ideas on this? Think I could do it
