I don't know about Canadian laws...but I would advise not to completely believe your co-workers who say that because you are on WSIB...( equal to American workmens compensation ? ) look into it.. Some susjestions...First, you could move back to where your family is...as least there would be some support..(check to see that you still can recieve WSIB while in America...) Or you might consider finding a home where someone is renting out a bed room with kitchen privileges & a driveway to park your car (its not a permanent situation, just tempariary until you are about to go back to work ). You could give up your home phone for a cell phone w/free long distance...This may sound tragic...but for a short time you are in a tragic situation that calls for a change of direction right now. I had a dream that my little cousin who is 6 months pregnant drowned in her family swimming pool. They couldn't bring her up for some reason until I got there. It had been 4 days and she seemed to be alive but she wasn't. I was trying so hard to make her live and even told her mom that there was still hope. It jumps to me in the hospital and i'm calling my boyfriend but he can't hear me and I am crying hysterically. He finally here's me and I awake. What does this mean?

My 4 year old step daughter is a brat!?

My husband and i each have a daughter from past relationships. mine is 7 and his is 4 almost 5. Her mother lets her do what she wants with no discipline whatsoever because she dont want to upset her but she calls sometimes crying that she cant handle her. so my husband says to discipline her but she says she cant cuz shes a "baby". We have rules at our house so when she comes on the weekend she tries to do what she does at her moms but when she gets punished (time out or no tv) she cries for her mom. Her favorite things to say are "my mom dont make me or my mom says i dont have to". worst is mealtime, we make our girls eat all their food which isnt much but shes picky and puts up a fight and when we make her she cries for her mom. her mother even gives her a choice if she wants to come to our house or not.Shes 4 years old, she shouldnt have that choice! my husbands really upset because shes getting to the point where she doest want to come to our house with rules.

Would one have a case if a job were promised and then given to someone else?

My husband works at a machine shop that has a union. He has been heavily involved in the union for many years (14+). Six months ago he was asked to take a 6-month leave from his job in the shop and do the work of a union business representative. The deal was made between the Business Director, istant Business Director, and my husband. My husband's district then merged with another district. That Business Director, and the 2 gentlement from my husband's district met. When the merge was completed, the istant's position would be written into the agreement, and my husband was supposed to then be brought on staff afterward. There were many delays, and after each delay my husband would inquire about what was happening. He only had 6 months of leave and then had to return to his shop. He was told after each delay to be patient, that it would happen, and that the job was his. We were not to worry. Well, there was an open application/interview done. This was supposed to be just a formality, to be politically correct. My husband was supposed to have the job locked in. He had been doing the job for 6 months and was told he was doing it well. He was told 2 weeks before he was supposed to be brought on staff that the job was given to someone else. My husband has 14+ years experience in the union, has negotiated 3 contracts, has a lot of local and district level experience. The guy who got the job has only been president of his local lodge, has no contract negotiation experience, and has no experience doing the work of a business rep. When my husband questioned the decision, he was told that the job was given to the other guy basically because he spoke well or better in the interview. We spent money we didn't have for my husband to do this job for 6 months. We put wear and tear on our already not-so-great vehicle for him to do this job for 6 months. Now he is going back to his factory, and we have nothing but a dying vehicle. Do we have any legal recourse? Nothing was in writing, but there were 2 credible witnesses to the deal, and he was told over and over that the job was his.

Why are people so gullible when it comes to energy and global warming?

Proven reserves of crude oil increase each year and global warming is a hoax the eco-terrorists have foisted on the people. We have coal and natural gas in abundance in this country, and we have not hardly tapped the wind, wave, and geothermal energy available to us. New safe nuclear technology is also available that could provide clean energy, even if global warming ever gets real. Wake up people, you are being scammed.

When i open my freezer door then the cool air starts flowing into my refrigerator but when i close it there is no air flow in my refrigerator.
